KAJIAN KARAKTERISTIK PERMUKIMAN KUMUH KELURAHAN SUMUR BATU

One of the slum management carried out by the Directorate General of Human Settlements is by creating the Kota Tanpa Kumuh (KOTAKU) program which is a central government project listed in the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) document. The project, also known as the National Slum Upgrading Project, has the goal of achieving the alleviation of urban slums to 0 Ha. The KOTAKU (Kota Tanpa Kumuh) program has been implemented in Bekasi City, one of which is Kelurahan Sumur Batu. However, it is not yet known what has been achieved. Therefore, this research aims to assess the characteristics of slums to compare conditions before and after the KOTAKU (Kota Tanpa Kumuh) program in Kelurahan Sumur Batu. This research consists of three objectives, namely (1) Identifying the physical characteristics of settlements in Kelurahan Sumur Batu, including the characteristics of occupancy and infrastructure facilities (2) Identifying the social and economic characteristics of slums in Kelurahan Sumur Batu, including the characteristics of residents (3) Identifying the condition of slum characteristics before and after the KOTAKU (Kota Tanpa Kumuh) program. This research can be a recommendation in evaluating the KOTAKU program in handling slums in Kelurahan Sumur Batu Bantargebang so as to produce livable and comfortable settlements for the community.
