Abstract

Batubara merupakan salah satu komoditas tambang yang keterdapatannya melimpah di Indonesia. Batubara juga merupakan energi alternatif yang saat ini banyak digunakan di Indonesia terutama untuk pembangkit listrik dan kebutuhan industri lainnya. Pemodelan dan estimasi sumberdaya batubara adalah tahapan yang penting dalam industri pertambangan. Dalam tahapan ini dihasilkan suatu model sebaran batubara dan estimasi sumberdaya batubara yang terkandung pada daerah penelitian. Penelitian dilakukan di PT. X, Kecamatan Muara Lawa, Kabupaten Kutai Barat, Kalimantan Timur. Pemodelan dan estimasi sumberdaya dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak. Dari hasil pemodelan terdapat tiga Seam batubara (Seam A1, A2, dan B) di daerah penelitian. Berdasarkan penentuan deterministik ketebalan lapisan batubara yang dapat dilakukan pemodelan yaitu seam dengan tebal minimum 0,3 m, penentuan ini berdasarkan kemampuan alat yang digunakan pada saat penambangan. Hasil pemodelan yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan lapisan batubara secara umum berarah Timur Laut �Barat Daya. Kondisi geologi daerah penelitian yaitu moderat dengan ditandai adanya kemiringan lapisan batubara dan variasi ketebalan lateral yang sedang serta berkembangnya percabangan lapisan batubara dan masih dapat diikuti sampai ratusan meter. Pengestimasian potensi sumberdaya batubara dilakukan pada seam A1, seam A2, dan seam B dengan mengunakan batas titik informasi terakhir dari data pemboran dan lokasi penelitian. Dengan menggunakan metoda grid pada perangkat lunak, total estimasi sumberdaya terukur pada daerah penelitian sebesar 30.197.310 ton,sumberdaya tertunjuk sebesar 16.149.530 ton, sumberdaya tereka sebesar 13.629.740 ton. Dengan tonase masing � masing seam A1 terukur sebesar 6.300.050 ton, tertunjuk 3.712.110 ton, tereka 3.173.200 ton. Pada seam A2 terukur sebesar 13.805.300 ton, tertunjuk 7.669.610 ton, tereka 7.042.530 ton. Pada seam B terukur sebesar 10.091.960 ton, tertunjuk 4.767.810 ton, tereka 3.414.010 ton.rnrnCoal is one of mine commodities which Ithere abundant in Indonesia. Coal is alternative energy which was many used at this day in Indonesia especially for power plant and other industry needs. Modelling and estimation of the coal resource is important phase in mining industry. In this phase, The outcome is a model coal distribution and resource coal estimation that was contained in study area. Detailed study was performed in PT. X, Muara Lawa Subdistrict, Kutai Barat Regency, Kalimatan Timur Province. Modelling and resource coal estimation conducted by software. From the modelling result there is three coal seam (Seam A1, A2, and Seam B) in study area. Based on deterministic determination, the minimum layer thickness for modelling is 0.3 m, this determination based on capability of tools that was used in mining process. The result from modelling process showed coal seams has general direction Northeast - southwest. Geology condition in this study area is moderate by the dipping of the seams and the variation of seams thickness are medium, in study area there was seam coal splitting and the seam can be followed up to hundreds of meters. Potential resource coal estimation is done at seam A1, seam A2 and seam B by using limits area, mine out boundary and locations research. In modelling software is used grid method, the amount of coal resources in area study are amounted to 30,197,310 tons of measured resource, 16,149,530 tons of indicated resource, and 13,629,740 tons of inferred resource. With each of seams A1 6,300,050 tons of measured resource, 3,712,110 tons of indicated resource, and 3,173,200 tons of inferred resource. The seam A2 13,805,300 tons of measured resource, 7,669,610 tons of indicated resource, and 7,042,530 tons of inferred resource.
