Abstract

Heavy phase merupakan suspensi yang dihasilkan dari mesin sludge centrifuge. Mesin sludge centrifuge digunakan untuk memisahkan antara minyak sebagai fraksi ringan dan dengan sludge (heavy phase) sebagai fraksi berat. Sludge memiliki komposisi berupa air, solid dan minyak dengan persentase terbesar adalah air dan yang terkecil adalah minyak. Berdasarakan standard operational procedure, level umpan sludge centrifuge di dalam sludge tank perlu dijaga tetap konstan, sehingga mesin sludge centrifuge dapat beroperasi secara optimal. Standar kehilangan minyak pada heavy phase yang telah ditetapkan oleh PT.SMART.Tbk sebesar maksimum 13% O/DM atau 0,8% O/WM. Penelitian mengenai pengaruh level umpan sludge centrifuge terhadap oil loss pada heavy phase dilakukan mengingat heavy phase merupakan limbah yang akan langsung dibuang menuju ke kolam limbah. Sehingga proses pengutipan minyak didalam umpan sludge centrifuge perlu dioptimalkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental. Pengambilan data dan analisis sampel heavy phase berdasarkan pada kondisi level umpan yang berbeda-beda. Dari masing-masing sampel dilakukan analisis kadar oil loss dengan metode soxhlet extraction, sehingga dapat diperoleh data nilai oil loss yang terdapat pada sampel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecenderungan yang terjadi adalah level umpan pada sludge tank cenderung mempengaruhi kandungan oil loss yang dihasilkan dari setiap sampel yang diambil pada kondisi level yang berbeda dan dilakukan pengujian. Oil loss dengan nilai paling minimum dihasilkan pada tanggal 18 Juni 2018 pada 196 cm, dengan nilai oil loss sebesar 0,64% O/WM.rnrnHeavy phase is a suspension produced from a sludge centrifuge machine. The composition of heavy phase is water, solid and oil with the largest percentage is water and the smallest is oil. Based on operational standard procedures, the level of sludge centrifuge feed in the sludge tank needs to be kept constant, so that the sludge centrifuge machine can operate optimally. Standard oil loss in the heavy phase that has been set by PT. SMART. Tbk at a maximum of 13% O / DM or 0.8% O / WM. Research on the effect of sludge centrifuge feed level on heavy phase oil loss is carried out, considering that the heavy phase is the waste that would be directly discharged into the waste pond. So that the oil curing process in the sludge centrifuge feed needs to be optimized. The method used in this study is an experimental method. Data retrieval and heavy phase sample analysis are based on different feed level conditions. From each sample oil loss analysis was analyzed using the Soxhlet Extraction method, so that the data of the oil loss values found in the sample can be obtained. Based on the results of the research shows that the tendency that occurs is the level of feed on the sludge tank will affect the oil loss content resulting from each sample tested and taken at different level conditions. Oil loss with the minimum value produced on June 18, 2018 at 196 cm, with oil loss value of 0.64% O / WM.
