IRON SCRAPER FLEXIBLE PEMBERSIH CECERAN MINYAK PADA RAILTRACK TIPPLER

Kebersihan di Pabrik Kelapa Sawit harus diperhatikan, baik itu dari ceceran minyak atau dari penyebab pengotor lainnya. Salah satu area/tempat yang harus terjaga kebersihannya adalah pada stasiun thresher, dan lebih tepatnya pada railtrack area tippler. Pada area tippler harus tetap terjaga kebersihannnya dari ceceran minyak yang menetes dari lori yang membawa buah masak (fruit bunch) dari sterilizer. Untuk dapat membantu menjaga kebersihan maka dibuatlah sebuah alat yang dapat digunakan untuk membersihkan ceceran minyak. Alat yang didesain dan dibuat di dalam penulisan tugas akhir ini dinamakan Penggaruk Besi Fleksibel (Iron Scraper Flexible). Alat ini berfungsi untuk membersihkan ceceran minyak pada jalur lori (railtrack). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perancangan, pembuatan, dan pengujian iron scraper flexyble. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan menentukan kriteria perancangan, mempertimbangkan ketersediaan alat dan bahan, pembuatan desain alat, pengujian alat, dan menyimpulkan hasil. Minyak sawit diekstrak dari daging buah (mesocarp). Minyak sawit merupakan bahan baku oleokimia karena mengandung lemak alkohol, metilester, dan asam lemak. Hampir 70 % � 80 % dari berat buah adalah mesocarp dan sekitar 45% � 50% dari mesocarp ini adalah minyak. Bagian lain dari buah meliputi cangkang, inti buah (kernel), dan serat tanpa lemak lainnya Penelitian ini dimulai dengan membuat komponen-komponen dari alat iron scraper flexible kemudian setelah semua komponen disiapkan maka dilakukan perakitan. Pengujian alat dilakukan setelah perakitan selesai dilakukan. Pengujian dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali dan dandiperoleh hasil yang baik dilihat dari kebersihan dan keringnya ceceran minyak yang terdapat pada stasiun tippler tersebut.---Cleanliness at mills must be considered, be it from spills of oil or other impurities causes. To help maintain the cleanliness there was made a tool that can be used to clean up oil spills. The tools are designed and manufactured in this thesis called rake Flexible Iron (Iron Scraper Flexible). This tool is to clean up oil spills in the lorry lane (railtrack). This study aims to do the design, manufacture, and testing of iron scraper flexyble. The study began by determining the criteria for design, considering the availability of tools and materials, design creation tools, testing tools, and summed up the results. Palm oil is extracted from the fruit flesh (mesocarp). Palm oil is a raw material for oleochemical fatty alcohols, methylester, and fatty acids. Nearly 70% - 80% of the weight of the fruit is mesocarp and about 45% - 50% of the mesocarp is oil. Tests done after the tool assembly is completed. Tests carried out three times and dandiperoleh good results seen from the cleanliness and dryness of the spilled oil contained in the tippler station.
