Abstract
Internal water treatment sistem reverse osmosis (RO) di PKS Sungai Kupang berfungsi untuk menghasilkan air umpan boiler yang telah memenuhi standar, air hasil internal water treatment sistem reverse osmosis akan ditampung di feed water tank sebelum dijadikan air umpan boiler. Air hasil internal water treatment sistem reverse osmosis harus memenuhi standar air feed water tank yang meliputi parameter pH, total dissolved solid (TDS), total hardness dan silika yang terkandung dalam air. Mengingat resiko kerusakan seperti korosi, deposit dan carry over impurities yang akan terjadi pada boiler apabila sistem pengolahan air tidak dapat menghasilkan air yang memenuhi standar tersebut, perlu dilakukan asesmen terhadap batas kemampuan internal water treatment sistem reverse osmosis. Tahapan asesmen yang digunakan yaitu tahap awal dan tahap rinci. Tahap awal meliputi penentuan variabel yang diasesmen, dilanjutkan dengan pegambilan sampel air dari sumber air baku dan produk sistem RO yang dilakukan 1 kali setiap hari pada saat pabrik beroperasi. Tahapan rinci meliputi pengujian sampel air di Laboratorium PKS Sungai Kupang, parameter pH air diuji menggunakan peralatan pH meter untuk mengetahui nilai pH air, parameter TDS air diuji menggunakan peralatan TDS meter untuk mengetahui nilai TDS air, parameter total hardness diuji menggunakan metode titrasi untuk mengetahui nilai total hardness air, parameter silika diuji menggunakan peralatan lovi bond comparator untuk mengetahui nilai silika air. Pada tahap rinci juga ditentukan metode penilaian terhadap sistem pengolahan air, kriteria penilaian ini menjadi acuan terhadap hasil analisis data. Berdasarkan hasil asesmen internal water treatment sistem reverse osmosis PKS Sungai Kupang, diperoleh batas kemampuan alat dalam menghasilkan air hasil pengolahan yang memenuhi standar sebagai berikut, (1) variabel pH mendapat penilaian % kriteria go sebesar 84.62%, (2) variabel TDS mendapat penilaian % kriteria go sebesar 100%, (3) variabel total hardness mendapat penilaian % kriteria go sebesar 100%, (4) variabel silika mendapat penilaian % kriteria go sebesar 61.54%, (5) internal water treatment sistem reverse osmosis PKS Sungai Kupang diperoleh nilai % keberhasilan alat sebesar 86.54%.---Reverse osmosis internal water treatment system at PKS Sungai Kupang serves to produce water for boiler feed that meets the standards. The results of the reverse osmosis internal water treatment system will be accommodated in the feed water tank before used as boiler feed water. Water outcome from reverse osmosis internal water treatment system must meet the standards of the feed water tank that includes parameters of pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), total hardness and silica contained in the water. Given the risk of damage such as corrosion, deposits and carry over impurities that will happen to the boiler if water treatment system can not produce water that meets these standards, there should be an assessment of the limits of reverse osmosis internal water treatment system. Stages of assessment used is initial stage and detailed stage. The initial stage involves determining variables assessed, followed by sampling of water from the raw water source and RO system products which is performed one time each day when the plant is operating. Detailed stage include testing of water samples in the laboratory of PKS Sungai Kupang. pH of water is tested using pH meter, TDS of water is tested using TDS meter, total hardness of water is tested using the titration method, silica of water is tested using Lovi bond comparator. At this stage detailed measurement method of water treatment systems is also specified. This assessment criteria is used as reference to the results of the data analysis. Based on the assessment results of reverse osmosis internal water treatment system of PKS Sungai Kupang, it is obtained that the limit of the tool to produce water as a result from processing stage which meet the standards is: (1) pH 84.62% criteria go, (2) TDS 100% criteria go, (3) total variable hardness 100% criteria go, (4) silica 61.54% criteria go, (5) reverse osmosis internal water system of PKS Sungai Kupang obtained value % success tool by 86.54%.
