Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kinerja operasi Jig IHC Circular vs Pan America-Rectangular pada sistem pencucian bijih timah di Kapal Keruk Kundur 1, milik PT. Timah Tbk. Kapal Keruk Kundur 1 merupakan salah satu Kapal Produksi penambangan bijih timah lepas pantai. Percobaan dan penelitian kinerja ini menggunakan data sampel yang di ambil dari tiap-tiap jig yang akan dijadikan objek penelitian, yaitu tipe IHC-Circular yang diwakilkan oleh Jig Primer, dan tipe Pan America-Rectangular yang diwakili oleh Jig sekunder. Kemudian, setelah mendapatkan sampel dari tiap jig, dilanjutkan dengan proses preparasi sampel, dan dilanjutkan dengan pengolahan sampel melalau proses Grain Counting Analisys (GCA) di laboratorium minerla dan kimia proses. Selanjutnya hasil dari laboratorium tersebut di analisa dan dimasukkan kedalam formulasi perhitungan kadar konsentrat dan recovery. Dari hasil perhitungan tersebut akan diketahui jig yang memiliki kinerja yang paling baik. Selain membandingan kinerja operasi jig berdasarkan recovery, penelitian ini juga melakukan perbandingan biaya perawatan dari kedua tipe jig ini. Hal ini cukup beralasan mengingat biaya perawatan rutin rutin dan rekondisi tahunan cukup besar dan menjadi bagian dari beban operasional Kapal Keruk tersebut. Dari percobaan dan penelitian ini diperoleh hasil yang kuantitatif, yaitu recovery jig IHC-Circular sebesar 98,66%, lebih tinggi dibanding recovery jig Pan America Rectangular sebesar 93,15%. Demikian juga dengan biaya perawatan tahunan jig IHC-Circular sebesar Rp. 162.349.285,- lebih efisien dibandingkan dengan biaya perawatan tahunan jig Pan America-Rectangularsebesar Rp. 300.110.445,-. Sehingga, berdasakan kinerja keseluruhan, Jig IHC-Circular lebih baik dibandingkan Jig Pan America-Rectangular.--

This research was conducted to determine the comparison of the operating performance of the IHC-Circular vs Pan America-Rectangular Jig on the tin ore washing system on the Kundur 1 Dredger, owned by PT. Timah Tbk. The Kundur 1 dredger is one of the offshore tin ore mining production vessels. This experiment and performance research uses sample data taken from each jig that will be used as the object of research, namely the IHC-Circular type which is represented by the Primary Jig, and the Pan America-Rectangular type which is represented by the secondary Jig. Then, after obtaining samples from each jig, the sample preparation process continues, and continues with sample processing through the Grain Counting Analysis (GCA) process in the mineral and process chemistry laboratory. Next, the results from the laboratory are analyzed and entered into the formulation for calculating concentrate and recovery levels. From the results of these calculations it will be known which jig has the best performance. Apart from comparing the performance of jig operations based on recovery, this research also compares the maintenance costs of these two types of jigs. This is quite reasonable considering that the costs for routine maintenance and annual reconditioning are quite large and are part of the dredger's operational expenses. From this experiment and research, quantitative results were obtained, namely the recovery of the IHC-Circular jig was 98.66%, higher than the recovery of the Pan America-Rectangular jig of 93.15%. Likewise, the annual maintenance fee for the IHC-Circular jig is IDR. 162,349,285,- more efficient than the annual maintenance cost of the Pan America-Rectangular jig of Rp. 300,110,445,-. So, based on overall performance, the IHC-Circular Jig is better than the Pan America-Rectangular Jig.
